Zombethics is an annual symposium that constructively engages the zombie genre and horror fiction writ large to explore difficult ethical issues. This year, we will take up the perennial challenge of defining death, addressing questions such as:
- What is death ?
- When is a human being no longer a person?
- What does an exploration of the corporeal (zombies and vampires) and the incorporeal (ghosts) undead – and the way we approach these in popular culture – tell us about contemporary conceptions of death and dying?
